How much does Botox cost in Korea in 2026?

Korean clinics price Botox per treatment area rather than per unit, and the toxin brand is the biggest factor in the final price. In Korea, the word Botox is used for any botulinum toxin, even though Botox itself is a brand made by Allergan. That is why you will see Korean toxins, Xeomin and Allergan Botox listed side by side at very different prices for the same area.

At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong, a single wrinkle area starts from ₩39,000 with a Korean toxin. Below we break down each facial area so you can see what your plan is likely to cost. For an overview of the treatment itself, see our Botox treatment page.

Wrinkle Botox prices by area: forehead, frown lines and crow's feet

These are the three classic wrinkle areas. They are priced the same per area, and there is a combined price if you treat all three together.

Toxin Made in One area Three areas
Korean toxin (such as Botulax, Nabota or Coretox) Korea ₩39,000 ₩99,000
Xeomin Germany ₩79,000 ₩199,000
Botox (Allergan) USA ₩99,000 ₩259,000

Prices exclude 10% VAT and are confirmed at consultation. Three areas means forehead, frown lines and crow's feet. Full details are on the Botox price page.

Forehead lines

Forehead Botox softens horizontal lines by relaxing the frontalis muscle. Doctors use a careful dose here, because too much can make the brows feel heavy. See forehead wrinkle treatments.

Frown lines (glabella)

The vertical "11" lines between the brows are one of the most common reasons people try Botox. They respond well and are priced as one area.

Crow's feet

Botox at the outer corners of the eyes softens lines that appear when you smile, while keeping a natural expression. See crow's feet treatments.

Jaw Botox price: slimming the lower face

Jaw (masseter) Botox relaxes the chewing muscle at the angle of the jaw, so the lower face gradually looks slimmer. It needs a larger dose than wrinkle areas, so it is priced separately. Every option below covers both sides.

Option Price (KRW)
Korean toxin (Botulax or Nabota), standard dose ₩59,000
Coretox, standard dose ₩99,000
Xeomin, standard dose ₩199,000
Botox (Allergan), standard dose ₩290,000

Slimming builds over two to four weeks and lasts about four to six months. Very strong masseters may need a higher dose, which your doctor prices before you agree. See the jaw Botox price page.

Skin Botox price: pores, oil and texture

Skin Botox, also called micro Botox, places diluted toxin in tiny droplets just under the skin instead of deep in the muscle. The goal is smaller-looking pores, less shine and smoother texture, rather than relaxing expressions.

Option Area Price (KRW)
Korean toxin Full face ₩129,000
Korean toxin Full face and neck ₩199,000
Xeomin Full face ₩259,000
Botox (Allergan) Full face ₩349,000

Results last about two to three months. Read more on the skin Botox page.

What about other areas?

Botox is also used for areas such as the shoulders (trapezius) and, on a case-by-case basis, smaller facial areas. Trap Botox at Dernia starts from ₩129,000 for both sides with a Korean toxin. Other smaller areas are assessed and priced by the doctor at consultation, so we do not list a fixed price for them here. If you are unsure whether an area is suitable for Botox, ask during your consultation request.

Korean toxin vs imported: is the price difference worth it?

Korean toxins are widely used in Korea and are the main reason Botox is affordable here. Imported brands such as Xeomin and Allergan Botox cost more, partly because of import costs and brand positioning. Xeomin is sometimes chosen by people who prefer a toxin without accessory proteins, and Allergan Botox by people who want the original brand they know from home.

For most wrinkle areas, a licensed doctor can achieve natural results with any of these approved products. The right choice depends on your history, your preferences and any previous response to toxin. Read more in Korean Botox brands explained and is Korean Botox safe.

What happens on Botox treatment day

  1. English consultation. A licensed doctor asks you to make expressions, checks muscle strength and agrees the areas, toxin brand, dose and final price with you before treatment.
  2. Cleansing and marking. The skin is cleaned and injection points may be marked. Numbing is usually not needed for wrinkle areas; it is applied for skin Botox.
  3. Injection. A very fine needle delivers small amounts of toxin. Wrinkle and jaw Botox take about 10–15 minutes; skin Botox takes a little longer.
  4. Aftercare briefing. You receive written aftercare in English and can return to sightseeing straight away.

How to estimate your yearly Botox budget

Because Botox wears off gradually, it helps to think about cost per year as well as per visit. Wrinkle Botox is commonly repeated every three to four months, jaw Botox every four to six months, and skin Botox every two to three months. Multiply the per-session price by how often you expect to repeat it. If you only visit Seoul once or twice a year, discuss with the doctor how your results may fade between trips, and whether a different maintenance rhythm makes sense for you.

Is Botox right for you? Safety and side effects

Usually a good fit

  • Expression lines on the forehead, between the brows or around the eyes
  • A square lower face from bulky jaw muscles
  • Oily skin and visible pores (skin Botox)
  • Visitors who want a quick treatment with no downtime

Talk to the doctor first

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Neuromuscular conditions such as myasthenia gravis
  • Infection or inflammation at the injection site
  • Previous poor response or allergy to botulinum toxin

Botox is one of the most widely performed aesthetic treatments. Common side effects are small injection marks, mild redness and occasional bruising. Less commonly, people get a headache or a temporary heavy feeling in the brow. Rare risks include a drooping eyelid or brow, uneven results, or, with jaw Botox, temporary chewing fatigue. These usually improve as the toxin wears off, and correct dosing by an experienced doctor reduces the risk.

Flying home? Most people can fly soon after Botox. Avoid rubbing the treated areas and lying flat for about four hours. Read flying after Botox and fillers before you book your flight.

Planning Botox around your Seoul trip

  • Book early in your stay. Wrinkle Botox takes effect over three to seven days, so treatment early in your trip lets the doctor check results before you leave if needed.
  • Avoid your arrival day. Schedule for day two or later, when you are rested.
  • Bring your history. Tell the doctor which toxin and dose you had before, if you know.
  • Getting here. Dernia is in Myeongdong, near Myeongdong Station (Line 4) and Euljiro 1-ga Station (Line 2).

The tourist VAT refund on cosmetic procedures ended on January 1, 2026, so the 10% VAT is added to listed prices.
