What is Rejuran Healer?

Rejuran Healer is an injectable skin booster developed by Pharma Research, a Korean pharmaceutical company. It is based on polynucleotides (PN), long chains of DNA fragments that are purified from salmon. Rejuran is widely used in Korean dermatology clinics to improve overall skin quality rather than to add volume or change shape.

Unlike filler, Rejuran does not fill lines directly. It is placed in tiny amounts across the skin to support the skin's own repair environment. Read more on our Rejuran Healer treatment page.

What are the ingredients in Rejuran Healer?

The active ingredient is polynucleotide (PN), sometimes described as a salmon DNA booster. In general terms:

  • Source: PN is extracted and highly purified from salmon DNA.
  • Function: polynucleotides are thought to support the repair environment of skin cells, helping fibroblasts — the cells that produce collagen — work more effectively.
  • Hydration: PN binds water, which contributes to improved hydration and a healthier look.
  • No cross-linking agents: it is not a filler, so it does not create volume or a defined shape.

Because it is derived from fish, people with a fish allergy should discuss this with the doctor before treatment. More detail is in is Rejuran made from salmon?

Benefits of Rejuran Healer

1. Better skin texture and thickness

Many people notice skin feels smoother, more resilient and slightly thicker after a series of treatments.

2. Calmer, less reactive skin

Rejuran is popular for sensitive or easily irritated skin and is often used to support skin after lasers or other procedures.

3. Softer fine lines and pores

As skin quality improves, fine lines and the appearance of pores may soften.

4. Natural-looking result

Because it does not add volume, results look like healthier skin rather than a visible change in shape. That makes it a popular choice for people who want to look well rested without anyone noticing a treatment.

For the eye area, a finer formula called Rejuran Eye (Rejuran I) is used instead. See Rejuran Eye.

Rejuran Healer vs other Korean skin boosters

Seoul clinics offer many skin boosters, and they are not interchangeable. Choosing the right one depends on what your skin needs most.

  • Rejuran Healer vs hyaluronic acid boosters: HA boosters mainly draw in water for quick hydration and glow, with results lasting about one to three months. Rejuran focuses more on repair and skin thickness, and its effect builds over a series.
  • Rejuran Healer vs Profhilo: Profhilo is a high-concentration HA that spreads through the skin to improve laxity and hydration with only five injection points per side. Rejuran uses many small injections and targets skin quality and sensitivity.
  • Rejuran Healer vs Juvelook: Juvelook uses PDLLA particles to stimulate collagen for texture and shallow scars. Rejuran has no particles and is often chosen for sensitive or thin skin.
  • Rejuran Healer vs exosome therapy: exosomes are applied after microneedling or laser to support recovery. Research is promising but still developing, and the two are sometimes used together.
  • Rejuran Healer vs Chanel injection: NCTF 135HA combines non-crosslinked HA with vitamins and amino acids for glow, while Rejuran targets repair.

Many people combine Rejuran with an HA booster or an energy-based treatment. Read skin boosters explained for a fuller comparison, and see Rejuran Healer vs Juvelook for a direct breakdown.

Who is a good candidate for Rejuran Healer?

Usually a good fit

  • Thin, dull or tired-looking skin
  • Sensitive or easily irritated skin
  • Fine lines, enlarged pores or rough texture
  • Skin recovering from lasers or sun damage
  • People who want natural improvement without volume

Talk to the doctor first

  • Fish or salmon allergy
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Active skin infection or inflammation in the area
  • Bleeding disorders or blood thinners
  • Expectation of an immediate, dramatic change

What happens on Rejuran treatment day

  1. English consultation. A licensed doctor examines your skin, confirms Rejuran suits you and agrees the volume and price.
  2. Numbing. Numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes, because Rejuran injections can sting more than other boosters.
  3. Injection. The doctor places many tiny amounts across the face, either by hand or with an injector device.
  4. Soothing. A calming mask or cool pack settles the skin before you leave.

Many visitors ask whether Rejuran hurts. It can be one of the more uncomfortable boosters, but numbing helps significantly. See does Rejuran hurt?

Is Rejuran Healer safe? Side effects

Rejuran Healer is widely used in Korea and generally well tolerated. Common, temporary effects include small bumps, redness, mild swelling, tenderness and occasional bruising, which usually settle within one to three days. Less common effects include longer-lasting bumps or small lumps. Rare risks, as with any injection, include infection and allergic reaction, particularly in people with fish allergy. Choosing a doctor-led clinic using genuine product helps reduce risk.

Flying home? Most people can fly the day after Rejuran. Small bumps may still be visible but do not affect travel. See our guide to flying after injectables and boosters.
