What is Juvelook?

Juvelook is a collagen stimulator made by Vaim Global in Korea. It combines two ingredients: PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) and hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid provides early hydration and a smoother feel in the first weeks. The PDLLA particles then prompt the skin to build new collagen gradually over the following months.

Juvelook is mainly used to improve skin quality: texture, enlarged pores, fine lines and shallow acne scars. It is not designed to add significant volume. For deeper volume, a related product, Juvelook Volume (Lenisna), is used. Read more on our Juvelook treatment page.

Why is Juvelook priced per cc?

Juvelook comes as a powder that is mixed with fluid before injection. The price reflects the volume used after mixing. A 2cc session treats one zone well; 4cc spreads evenly across the full face; 6cc extends to the neck. More cc means more coverage, not a stronger dose in one spot.

When comparing quotes, check the volume after mixing, whether the product is genuine Juvelook rather than Juvelook Volume or another PDLLA brand, and how it is delivered. Our guide to shots, lines and cc explains these units.

How many Juvelook sessions do you need?

Most people plan two to three sessions, four to six weeks apart. Because Juvelook works by stimulating collagen, each session builds on the last, and the full effect usually appears two to three months after the final session. After a series, results can last 12 months or more. A single session still gives some benefit, but the improvement in texture and scars is usually more noticeable after the second and third sessions, when collagen from each treatment has had time to build up.

Budgeting a Juvelook course

Dernia prices Juvelook per session by volume. For a full-face series, that means a 4cc session at ₩549,000 each time, before VAT. For one zone, such as the cheeks, each 2cc session is ₩299,000. Many visitors cannot stay four to six weeks, so a common approach is one session per trip, timed four to six weeks or more apart. You can also start a series in Seoul and continue with a doctor at home. See what if I cannot finish a treatment series?

Goal Typical plan Price per session (KRW)
Cheek texture and pores 2cc, 2–3 sessions ₩299,000
Full-face skin quality 4cc, 2–3 sessions ₩549,000
Face and crepey neck 6cc, 2–3 sessions ₩790,000

What affects the price of Juvelook in Seoul?

Volume and area

The main factor is how many cc are used, which depends on the size of the area and how much improvement you want. Two cc concentrates product on one zone; four cc spreads it across the whole face. Choosing 2cc for the full face would leave each area with very little product, so doctors usually match volume to area.

Delivery method

Juvelook can be injected by hand, delivered with an injection device, or both. Hand injection allows precise placement on scars and specific areas; device delivery spreads product evenly in a fine grid. Your doctor explains which they recommend for your skin and why. The method can affect comfort and the amount of bumps you see afterward.

Number of sessions

Because Juvelook works best as a series, the total cost of a course matters more than the price of one session. Ask the doctor how many sessions they expect you to need and whether one session alone is worthwhile for your goals.

Genuine product and doctor involvement

PDLLA products differ, and mixing and placement affect both results and the risk of lumps. A licensed doctor plans and performs the treatment at Dernia, and you can ask to see the product before it is prepared.

VAT

Listed prices exclude 10% VAT, and tourists can no longer claim a VAT refund on cosmetic procedures since January 1, 2026.

Who is a good candidate for Juvelook?

Usually a good fit

  • Rough texture and enlarged pores
  • Shallow, rolling acne scars
  • Fine lines and early loss of firmness
  • People who prefer gradual, natural change

Talk to the doctor first

  • Active acne, infection or inflammation in the area
  • A history of keloids or lumps after injections
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Autoimmune conditions or blood thinners

What happens during a Juvelook session?

  1. Consultation in English. A licensed doctor examines your skin and confirms the volume and price.
  2. Preparation. The product is mixed in advance so it disperses evenly. Numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes.
  3. Injection. The doctor injects by hand, with a device, or both, spreading product evenly across the planned area.
  4. Massage and soothing. The area may be gently massaged and calmed with soothing care.

Results, downtime and side effects

Small bumps at injection points are normal and usually settle in one to three days. Mild redness, swelling or small bruises can occur. Early hydration from the HA may be noticeable in the first weeks, while collagen-based improvement builds over two to three months. See the Juvelook results timeline.

The main concern people ask about is lumps. Collagen stimulators can occasionally form small nodules if product clusters. Careful mixing, even placement and the right depth reduce this risk. Read does Juvelook cause lumps? Rare risks also include infection and prolonged swelling.
