Juvelook and Juvelook Volume share the same PDLLA technology but are made for different jobs. Here is how to tell which one fits your concern before you book in Seoul.
Juvelook and Juvelook Volume (sold as Lenisna) are both PDLLA collagen stimulators from Vaim Global. Standard Juvelook is placed in the skin to refine texture, pores, fine lines and shallow scars. Juvelook Volume has a higher concentration and is placed deeper to restore soft volume in the temples, cheeks and hollows. Both work gradually over two to three months. At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong in Seoul, Juvelook starts from ₩299,000 for 2cc and Lenisna (Juvelook Volume) from ₩490,000 per vial, excluding 10% VAT.
Prices are in Korean won, exclude 10% VAT and are confirmed by a doctor at consultation.
What is the difference between Juvelook and Juvelook Volume?
Both products come from Vaim Global in Korea and use PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid), a biodegradable material that prompts your skin to build new collagen. The difference is concentration, placement depth and goal.
- Juvelook combines PDLLA with hyaluronic acid and is injected into the dermis, the layer that determines skin texture. It is used for skin quality: pores, fine lines, rough texture and shallow acne scars.
- Juvelook Volume, sold in Korea as Lenisna, has a higher PDLLA concentration and is placed deeper. It is used for soft volume restoration in areas such as the temples, cheeks and mild under-eye hollows.
A helpful shortcut: Juvelook improves the canvas, while Juvelook Volume gently rebuilds the frame. Read the full details on our Juvelook page and Lenisna (Juvelook Volume) page.
How do PDLLA collagen stimulators work?
PDLLA particles are not a filler in the usual sense. After injection, the body recognizes the particles and responds by laying down new collagen around them. As the particles slowly break down, the collagen remains. That is why results:
- Appear gradually over about two to three months after each session
- Look natural, because your own tissue provides the improvement
- Last longer than a simple hydrating booster, commonly 12 months or more after a series
The trade-off is patience. You will not leave the clinic with the final result, and part of the early change from swelling or hydration fades before collagen builds.

Which one is right for your concern?
Juvelook is usually the fit
- Enlarged pores and uneven texture
- Fine lines and early crepiness
- Shallow rolling acne scars
- You want better skin without changing shape
Juvelook Volume is usually the fit
- Hollow or sunken temples
- Flattened cheeks from volume loss
- A gaunt or tired look from thinning tissue
- You prefer gradual volume over instant filler
Some people benefit from both: Lenisna for structure in the temples or cheeks, and Juvelook for texture across the face. See facial volume loss and large pores for more options.
How is Juvelook Volume different from hyaluronic acid filler?
Many visitors ask whether they should simply choose filler for hollow temples or cheeks. The two approaches restore volume in very different ways.
- HA filler adds volume immediately. You see the shape on the day, and the result lasts roughly six to eighteen months depending on the area and product. If needed, hyaluronic acid can usually be dissolved with an enzyme.
- Juvelook Volume adds volume gradually by stimulating your own collagen. The result looks soft and natural, and it can last longer, but it cannot be dissolved and takes two to three months to appear.
People who want a precise, immediate contour, such as chin projection, often prefer filler. People with diffuse hollowing who want a subtle, long-lasting change often prefer a collagen stimulator. Some doctors combine a small amount of filler for instant support with a stimulator for longer-term quality.
Compared with Sculptra, another collagen stimulator, Juvelook Volume uses PDLLA rather than PLLA. Both work on the same principle, and the choice usually depends on the area, the doctor's experience and how much volume is needed. Your doctor will explain why they recommend one product over another for your face.
What results can you expect, and when?
| When | Juvelook | Juvelook Volume |
|---|---|---|
| Days 0–3 | Small bumps and redness; early hydration | Swelling that can look like an instant result |
| Weeks 1–2 | Bumps settle; skin feels smoother | Swelling fades; area may look close to before |
| Months 1–3 | Pores, texture and scars gradually refine | Soft volume gradually returns |
| After the series | Improvement maintained for 12+ months | Volume commonly lasts 12–24 months |
Take photos before treatment and again at one and three months to judge the change fairly. See Juvelook results and Lenisna results for more detail.
What happens on treatment day
- English consultation. A licensed doctor examines your skin and volume, explains which product suits you and confirms the amount and price.
- Preparation. The product is mixed and allowed to hydrate properly, which is important for smooth results.
- Numbing. Topical numbing cream for 30–40 minutes; the product may also contain local anesthetic.
- Injection. Juvelook is placed in many small points across a zone; Lenisna is placed deeper, often with a cannula.
- Aftercare. You receive written instructions, which may include gentle massage for several days.
Risks and side effects
Common effects for both products are redness, swelling, small bumps and bruising for one to three days. The main concern with any PDLLA product is nodules or lumps, usually linked to placement that is too shallow, uneven distribution or inadequate mixing. Correct technique and following aftercare lower this risk; read does Juvelook cause lumps. As with all injectables, infection, allergic-type reactions and rare vascular complications are possible, especially for deeper volume placement around the temples and under-eyes.
Talk to the doctor first if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection, a history of keloids or autoimmune disease, or have had filler in the same area recently.

Yes. Juvelook Volume is sold in Korea under the name Lenisna. It uses a higher PDLLA concentration than standard Juvelook for deeper volume restoration.
