Quick answer

Thermage FLX is priced by shots, and the shot count decides how much of your face is covered and how many passes are made. At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong in Seoul, 300 shots cost ₩990,000 and focus on the cheeks and jawline, while 600 shots cost ₩1,690,000 and cover the full face and jawline with more passes. Thermage FLX 300 vs 600 shots: the short answer

At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong, 300 shots cost ₩990,000 and 600 shots cost ₩1,690,000, both before 10% VAT. A 300-shot plan is a focused treatment for the cheeks and jawline. A 600-shot plan covers the full face and jawline and allows more passes on looser areas. For most adults with visible laxity across the lower and mid-face, 600 shots is the plan doctors recommend most often. Three hundred shots suits younger skin, mild concerns or a targeted top-up.

Plan Typical coverage Price (KRW)
300 shots Face, focused on cheeks and jawline ₩990,000
600 shots Full face and jawline ₩1,690,000
900 shots Full face, jawline and neck ₩2,390,000
900 shots + eye tip (225 shots) Face, neck, upper and lower eyelids ₩3,090,000

Prices exclude 10% VAT and are confirmed at consultation. Full details on the Thermage FLX price page.

What is a Thermage shot?

A shot, also called a REP, is one pulse of radiofrequency energy delivered through a single-use treatment tip. Each tip is programmed with a fixed number of shots. The tip heats the deep dermis while cooling the surface, causing existing collagen to tighten and prompting new collagen over the following months.

More shots mean two things: wider coverage and more passes. Thermage works best when each zone receives several passes, especially where skin is loosest. So a higher shot count is not only about treating more area; it is also about treating each area more thoroughly. See shots, lines and cc explained and our Thermage FLX treatment page.

What does 300 shots of Thermage cover?

Three hundred shots is a focused plan. The doctor concentrates passes on the zones where you want the most change, typically the lower cheeks and the jawline. It can give a visible improvement in firmness in those areas, but the forehead, temples and upper cheeks may receive little or no treatment.

  • Good for: people in their early 30s with mild looseness, a first Thermage experience, or a top-up on the jawline.
  • Limits: fewer passes per area, and not enough for the whole face if laxity is widespread.

What does 600 shots of Thermage cover?

Six hundred shots is the standard full-face plan. It allows the doctor to treat the forehead, temples, cheeks, jawline and lower face, with extra passes on the jowls and along the jaw. The result is more even tightening across the whole face.

  • Good for: adults with mild to moderate laxity in several areas, early jowls, and crepey texture on the cheeks.
  • Limits: does not include the neck or the eyelids, which need a larger plan or the eye tip.

300 vs 600 shots: side-by-side comparison

300 shots 600 shots
Price at Dernia ₩990,000 ₩1,690,000
Coverage Cheeks and jawline focus Full face and jawline
Passes per area Fewer More, with extra passes on loose zones
Best for Mild, localized laxity; first-timers; top-ups Mild to moderate laxity across the face
Treatment time Shorter Longer, up to about 90 minutes

Per shot, the 600-shot plan is better value than buying 300 shots twice. If your doctor recommends the full face, choosing 600 shots in one session is usually more effective and more economical than two smaller sessions.

Which Thermage plan is right for you?

300 shots is often enough if

  • You are in your late 20s or early 30s with mild concerns
  • Your laxity is limited to the jawline or lower cheeks
  • You want a top-up between full-face sessions
  • You are combining Thermage with another lifting device

Consider 600 shots or more if

  • Laxity is visible across the forehead, cheeks and jaw
  • You have early jowls and want a more even result
  • You only plan one Thermage session a year
  • You also want the neck treated (900 shots)

A licensed doctor examines your skin before recommending a plan. Thermage is not suitable for everyone: people with pacemakers or implanted electronic devices, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and anyone with active infection in the area should discuss alternatives. If sagging is advanced, the doctor may suggest combining with ultrasound lifting or discussing surgery.

What happens during a 300 or 600-shot session?

  1. Consultation in English. A licensed doctor examines your skin thickness and laxity and confirms the shot count and final price with you before anything starts.
  2. Numbing. Topical numbing cream is applied for about 30–40 minutes.
  3. Grid marking. A temporary grid is drawn so shots are spread evenly. With 600 shots, the grid covers the whole face.
  4. Treatment. The sealed tip is opened and attached. You feel short bursts of heat followed by cooling and vibration. A 300-shot session is noticeably shorter than a 600-shot session.
  5. Finish. The doctor shows you the final shot count, and soothing care is applied.

What about the eye tip and the neck?

The eyelids are treated with a separate, smaller eye tip, priced as part of the 900 shots plus eye tip plan. It can soften mild hooding and crepey eyelid skin. The neck is included in the 900-shot plan. If neck lines or looseness bother you, ask about this plan rather than stretching 600 shots further.

Spreading a smaller shot count over a larger area is the most common reason people feel underwhelmed by Thermage. Fewer passes per zone means less heat delivered where it matters. It is usually better to treat a smaller area properly than a larger area thinly, and then add coverage on a later visit if you want it. Your doctor will be honest about what each plan can realistically achieve for your face.

Results, safety and how to compare quotes

Thermage results build over two to six months and commonly last 12–18 months. Common effects are mild redness and swelling for a few hours to a day. Less commonly, people notice tenderness, small bumps or temporary tingling. Rare risks include blisters, burns or uneven contour changes, so the doctor's technique matters. See the Thermage FLX results timeline.

When comparing quotes in Seoul, check the shot count, that the device is Thermage FLX, that a sealed, genuine tip is opened in front of you, and whether VAT is included. The tourist VAT refund on cosmetic procedures ended on January 1, 2026. See our VAT guide.
