Ulthera Prime Cost in Seoul 2026: Price per 100 Lines Explained — a guide for visitors in Myeongdong, Seoul.
Quick answer

In Seoul, Ulthera Prime (Ultherapy) is priced by the number of ultrasound lines delivered. At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong, 100 lines cost ₩390,000, which suits one small target area such as the brows or under the chin. A lower-face plan of 300 lines is ₩1,090,000, a 400-line full face is ₩1,390,000 and 600 lines covering the face, under the chin and neck is ₩1,990,000. Prices are in KRW and exclude 10% VAT. Most people need one session, with results peaking at two to three months.

Priced by Number of lines
Entry plan 100 lines, one small area
Full face About 400 lines

Prices are in Korean won, exclude 10% VAT and are confirmed by a doctor at consultation.

How much does Ulthera Prime cost in Seoul in 2026?

At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong, Ulthera Prime starts from ₩390,000 for 100 lines. That entry plan is designed for one focused area, not the whole face. For most visitors who want a visible lift along the jawline and cheeks, the realistic budget is the 300-line or 400-line plan. All prices are in Korean won and exclude 10% VAT.

Plan Typical coverage Price (KRW)
100 lines One target area, such as the brows or under the chin ₩390,000
300 lines Lower face and jawline ₩1,090,000
400 lines Full face ₩1,390,000
600 lines Full face, under the chin and neck ₩1,990,000

Prices exclude 10% VAT and are confirmed by a doctor at consultation. Full details are on the Ulthera Prime price page.

Notice that the cost per 100 lines falls as the plan gets larger. The 100-line plan is ₩390,000, while the 300-line and 400-line plans cost noticeably less for each block of 100 lines. That is because set-up, consultation and numbing time are shared across more lines. If you already know you want the whole face lifted, a single larger plan is usually better value than adding small blocks of 100 lines on separate visits.

What is a line in Ulthera Prime?

Ulthera Prime is the latest version of Ultherapy, a micro-focused ultrasound device. Each time the transducer moves across the skin, it places a single row of tiny heating points at a fixed depth. That row is one line. The heat creates small zones of coagulation in the target layer, which tighten on the day and then trigger new collagen over the following months.

Different transducers reach different depths. The deepest typically target the SMAS, the fibrous layer that surgeons lift in a facelift, while shallower ones work in the deep dermis. A thorough treatment usually layers lines at two depths in the same area. That is why line counts add up quickly, and why a full face needs several hundred lines rather than a few dozen. Our Ulthera Prime treatment page explains the device in more detail.

What can 100 lines of Ulthera actually treat?

One hundred lines is a precise, small-area plan. It is enough to treat one zone properly at more than one depth, but it is not enough to lift a whole face. Typical uses include:

  • Brow lift. A gentle lift of the brow tail and a more open look to the upper eye area.
  • Under the chin. Tightening of mild submental looseness for a cleaner angle under the jaw.
  • Top-up area. Extra lines on a single stubborn zone, for people who already had a full-face plan.

If someone offers a full face for 100 lines, the lines are being spread very thinly. You may notice a short-term glow but very little lift. When comparing quotes anywhere in Korea, compare the same line count and ask which depths are included.

Why is Ulthera priced per line rather than per area?

Line pricing reflects how the device works. Each Ulthera transducer has a limited number of lines before it must be replaced, and genuine transducers are a significant part of the cost. Pricing by lines keeps quotes transparent: more lines mean more coverage, more depths and more passes on loose areas. It also lets a doctor tailor the plan to your anatomy instead of selling a fixed package. Read more in our explainer on shots, lines and cc.

Which Ulthera Prime plan is right for you?

Usually a good fit

  • 100 lines: brows or under the chin only, or a single top-up zone
  • 300 lines: early jowls and a softening jawline
  • 400 lines: overall mild to moderate laxity across the face
  • 600 lines: face plus neck and under-chin looseness

Talk to the doctor first

  • Very thin faces, where deep heating can make hollows more noticeable
  • Heavy sagging or excess skin that may need a surgical opinion
  • Active acne, open wounds or infection in the area
  • Pregnancy, or metal implants and recent filler in the treatment zone

Your doctor examines where your laxity sits before recommending a line count. Sometimes the best plan is fewer Ulthera lines combined with a skin-tightening device. See treatments for jowls for other options.

What else affects the final price of Ulthera in Korea?

  • Line count. The biggest factor by far. Always compare quotes at the same number of lines.
  • Genuine device and transducers. Ulthera Prime is a branded device made by Merz. Ask to see the device screen and line counter.
  • Who performs it. At Dernia, a licensed doctor plans the treatment and adjusts depth and energy to your face.
  • Numbing and comfort care. Ultrasound lifting can be uncomfortable over bone, so numbing matters.
  • VAT. Korean prices are often quoted before 10% VAT. The tourist VAT refund on cosmetic procedures ended on January 1, 2026, so budget for VAT on top. See our 2026 VAT refund guide.

Ulthera Prime results and safety

Some people notice slight firmness straight away, but most of the change comes from new collagen. Results typically build over two to three months, and one session often lasts about a year or longer. Many people repeat roughly once a year. The Ulthera Prime results timeline walks through what to expect month by month.

Common, temporary effects include redness, mild swelling, tenderness along the jaw and occasional small bruises or welts. Rarer effects include temporary numbness or nerve irritation, which usually settle over weeks. In very lean faces, overly deep or dense treatment can make hollows look more obvious, which is one reason line counts should be planned by a doctor rather than maximized. Tell the doctor about any filler, threads or medical conditions before treatment.

Planning Ulthera Prime around your Seoul trip

  1. Send your details early. Use our consultation form with your travel dates and concerns so we can suggest a likely line count before you fly.
  2. Avoid your arrival day. Flights and immigration can run late. Day two or three of your trip is usually calmer.
  3. Getting here. Dernia is in Myeongdong, a short walk from Myeongdong Station (Line 4) and Euljiro 1-ga Station (Line 2).
  4. Consultation and treatment. A doctor confirms the plan and price, numbing is applied, and treatment takes about 30–90 minutes depending on lines.
  5. Back to your trip. Most people go straight back to sightseeing with mild redness.

Flying home? Ulthera has no wounds or injections, so most people can fly the next day. If you plan to add Botox or filler in the same trip, ask the doctor how to order them. Our aftercare guide covers the first days in English.

A full face is usually about 400 lines, and adding the neck and under the chin brings it to around 600 lines. Your doctor sets the exact count after examining you.

Can I get a VAT refund on Ulthera in Korea?
