Juvelook Volume, sold as Lenisna, restores soft volume by prompting your skin to build collagen rather than filling space with gel. This guide covers how it works, what results look like and how to plan it on a Seoul trip.
Juvelook Volume, also known as Lenisna, is a higher-concentration PDLLA collagen stimulator from Korea's Vaim Global. Placed deeper than standard Juvelook, it gradually restores soft volume in areas such as the temples, cheeks and under-eye hollows as your own collagen forms. Volume builds over two to three months and can last 12–24 months. Most people need 1–2 sessions. At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong in Seoul, Lenisna starts from ₩490,000 for 1 vial (KRW, excluding 10% VAT).
Prices are in Korean won, exclude 10% VAT and are confirmed by a doctor at consultation.
What is Juvelook Volume (Lenisna)?
Juvelook Volume is the volumizing member of the Juvelook family, marketed under the name Lenisna. Both products are made in Korea by Vaim Global and are based on PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid), a biodegradable material that stimulates collagen. The difference lies in concentration and depth: standard Juvelook is placed in the dermis to refine skin texture, while Juvelook Volume contains more PDLLA and is placed deeper to rebuild soft volume.
Because it works through your own collagen, the change appears slowly and tends to look natural. It is often chosen by people who want to restore a hollow area without the immediate, defined shape of a hyaluronic acid filler. Read more on our Lenisna treatment page.
How does Juvelook Volume work?
After injection, the PDLLA particles sit in the deeper tissue. The body treats them as a mild signal to repair, sending fibroblasts that produce new collagen around the particles. Over several weeks, the particles are gradually broken down and absorbed, while the new collagen remains and adds structure.
- Day of treatment. Some fullness from the fluid used to mix the product, which settles within days.
- Weeks 1–3. The early fullness fades, and the area may look close to how it did before. This is expected.
- Weeks 4–12. New collagen forms and volume returns gradually.
- After the series. A soft, natural-looking result that can last 12–24 months.
This delayed pattern is the most important thing to understand. If you need visible volume within days, hyaluronic acid filler is the more predictable choice. If you prefer gradual, longer-lasting change, a collagen stimulator may suit you better.
What areas can Juvelook Volume treat?
- Temples. Hollow temples can make the face look tired or older; Lenisna is commonly used here.
- Cheeks. Mild flattening of the mid-face can be softened.
- Under-eye hollows. Selected cases only, placed carefully by an experienced doctor.
- General volume loss. Several zones can be treated across the face when overall fullness has declined.

Who is a good candidate?
Usually a good fit
- Mild to moderate hollowing in the temples or cheeks
- People who prefer gradual, natural change
- Those wanting longer-lasting results than HA filler
- Patients able to wait 2–3 months for the full effect
Talk to the doctor first
- Need for an instant result for an event
- History of nodules, keloids or granulomas
- Autoimmune disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Active infection or inflammation in the area
Expected results and how long they last
Most people describe the outcome as looking rested and less hollow rather than visibly changed. The effect is subtle in the first month and becomes clearer at two to three months. After one or two sessions, results commonly last 12–24 months, depending on age, metabolism, lifestyle and the area treated.
Results are never guaranteed, and some people need a second vial or session to reach their goal. Taking photos before treatment and again at one and three months helps you see the change objectively. See Lenisna results.
Recovery and aftercare after Juvelook Volume
Recovery is usually straightforward, and most people return to sightseeing the same day. Aftercare matters more than with simple boosters, because how the product settles affects the final result.
- Massage, if advised. Some doctors recommend gentle massage for several days to help the product spread evenly. Follow the exact instructions you are given.
- Avoid heat for 1–2 days. Skip saunas, jjimjilbang, hot baths and intense workouts, which can increase swelling.
- Limit alcohol. Alcohol on the treatment day can worsen bruising.
- Sleep position. Sleeping on your back for the first night or two reduces pressure on treated areas.
- Makeup. Usually fine from the next day, once injection points have closed.
- Sun protection. Daily sunscreen helps protect the collagen you are building.
Mild tenderness when you press the area is normal for a few days. A firm, painful or red lump that grows rather than shrinks is not normal and should be checked.
Does early fullness mean the result is final?
No. The fullness seen on the treatment day comes mostly from the liquid used to mix the product and from swelling. It usually fades within days, and many people feel the treatment did nothing at this stage. The lasting result appears later, as new collagen forms over the following weeks. Judge your outcome at around three months rather than in the first week.
Is Juvelook Volume safe? Side effects and risks
Common effects are mild swelling, tenderness, redness and bruising for 1–3 days. Some people feel small firm areas while the product settles.
The specific risk with collagen stimulators is nodules: small lumps that can form if the product clumps or is placed too superficially. Correct dilution, deep placement and massage instructions reduce that risk. Because the product cannot be dissolved like HA filler, choosing an experienced doctor matters. As with any injection in the face, there is also a rare risk of injury to a blood vessel, which is why placement around the temples and under the eyes requires careful technique. A licensed doctor should always assess suitability first. Read side effects and when to contact us.
