Rejuran Healer vs Skinvive: what is the main difference?
Both treatments are injected into the skin with fine needles, and both are often called skin boosters in Korea. The difference is what they put into the skin and what that ingredient does once it is there.
- Rejuran Healer contains polynucleotides (PN), DNA fragments purified from salmon. They are thought to support the skin's own repair processes, which is why Rejuran is associated with better thickness, elasticity and a calmer, less reactive surface over several weeks.
- Skinvive by Juvéderm contains a lightly cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) gel placed as tiny microdroplets. HA binds water, so the skin looks smoother, more hydrated and more radiant without adding visible volume.

How does Rejuran Healer work?
Rejuran Healer is made by Pharma Research in Korea and has been one of the country's best-known injectables for years. The PN solution is placed in many small injection points across the face, usually after numbing cream. Rather than giving an instant change, it supports gradual improvement in how the skin behaves: less sensitivity, a firmer feel and a smoother texture as the weeks go by.
Because the effect builds with repeated exposure, the standard plan is three sessions spaced two to four weeks apart, followed by maintenance roughly every six months. How does Skinvive work?
Skinvive comes from Allergan, the company behind the Juvéderm filler range. Its gel is designed to be spread very thinly in the superficial layers of the skin rather than shaped into a contour. In the United States it is approved to improve cheek skin smoothness in adults over 21, which tells you what it is designed to do: smoother, more hydrated-looking skin rather than lifting or volume.
Skinvive is usually a single session. Hydration and glow tend to show within one to two weeks once any small bumps settle, and the effect commonly lasts about six months, after which many people repeat it.

Are Rejuran Healer and Skinvive safe? Risks and side effects
Both are widely used injectables with a good safety record when performed by trained doctors. Common, temporary effects include small bumps at the injection points, redness, mild swelling and occasional bruising. Less commonly, people can have prolonged lumps, infection or allergic-type reactions.
- Rejuran: people with a fish or salmon allergy should tell the doctor, as the PN is salmon-derived.
- Skinvive: as an HA product, it carries the small risks shared by HA injectables, including rare vascular complications, which is why technique and anatomy knowledge matter.
