Quick answer

Rejuran I (Rejuran Eye) is a finer polynucleotide skin booster made for the thin skin around the eyes. At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong in Seoul, 1cc costs ₩189,000 and treats both under-eye areas, while 2cc costs ₩339,000 and covers the under-eyes plus crow's feet. Prices are in KRW and exclude 10% VAT. Most people plan two to three sessions two to four weeks apart. Expect mild swelling for one to two days. It improves skin quality rather than filling hollows.

What is Rejuran I?

Rejuran I is part of the Rejuran family from Pharma Research in Korea. Like Rejuran Healer, its active ingredient is polynucleotide (PN), derived from salmon DNA. The difference is the formula: Rejuran I is finer and designed to spread evenly in the thin skin around the eyes, where heavier products can look lumpy.

It is used to support repair and thickness in the under-eye skin, aiming to soften fine lines, crepey texture and the tired look that thin skin can create. It does not add volume, so it is not a substitute for filler in deep hollows. Read more on our Rejuran Eye treatment page.

What can Rejuran I improve under the eyes?

  • Fine lines and crepey skin: thin, crinkled under-eye skin can look smoother and more resilient.
  • Shadowing from thin skin: when the skin is very thin, underlying vessels and muscle show through, giving a darker, tired look. Improving skin quality may soften this.
  • Crow's feet texture: with 2cc, the outer eye area can be treated too.

It is less effective for dark circles caused mainly by pigmentation, or for under-eye bags caused by fat. Those need a different approach. See dark circle treatments and eye bag treatments.

A quick way to tell the difference: if gently stretching the skin makes the darkness lighten, thin skin or shadowing is likely playing a part, and Rejuran I may help. If the color stays the same, pigment is more likely. If the darkness sits under a bulge that gets bigger when you look up, fat is probably involved. A doctor confirms this in person, because most under-eyes show a mix of causes.

How many Rejuran I sessions do you need?

Most people plan two to three sessions spaced two to four weeks apart, then maintenance when they feel the effect fading. At Dernia, each 1cc session for both under-eyes is ₩189,000 before VAT. On a short trip, one session is still worthwhile, and you can continue the course on a later visit. See what if I cannot finish a treatment series?

Budgeting for a course

Because the improvement is gradual and builds with each session, think of Rejuran I as a short course rather than a single fix. If you visit Seoul once or twice a year, a realistic plan is one session per trip, with the option of adding crow's feet on visits when lines bother you more. If you are staying longer, completing two or three sessions in one stay gives the most consistent result.

Rejuran I vs under-eye filler: which is right for you?

These two treatments are often confused, but they solve different problems.

Rejuran I Under-eye filler
Main purpose Improves thin, crepey skin Fills hollows and tear troughs
Price at Dernia From ₩189,000 (1cc) From ₩290,000 (1cc, Korean HA)
Sessions 2–3 Usually 1
Downtime Mild swelling for 1–2 days Possible swelling or bruising for 2–5 days
Main risks Bumps, bruising; rare infection Lumps, swelling, and rare but serious vascular occlusion

Under-eye filler carries more serious risks than skin boosters, including vascular occlusion, where filler blocks a blood vessel. This is rare but can threaten skin and, very rarely, vision. That is one reason many doctors start with a skin-quality treatment like Rejuran I when hollows are mild. Compare them in under-eye filler vs Rejuran Eye.

Can you combine Rejuran I with other eye treatments?

Yes, in many cases. Under-eye concerns usually have more than one cause, so doctors sometimes pair a skin-quality booster with another approach. Examples include crow's feet Botox for expression lines at the outer eye, Agnes RF for small under-eye fat bags, or a carefully placed filler for a defined hollow once the skin is in better condition. Combining treatments on the same trip needs careful planning around swelling and bruising, especially before a flight. Your doctor will explain which order makes sense and whether a combination is needed at all.

What affects the final price?

  • Volume: 1cc for both under-eyes, 2cc when crow's feet are included.
  • Number of sessions: a course of two to three gives the most consistent result.
  • Add-ons: other eye treatments are priced separately.
  • VAT: listed prices exclude 10% VAT.

Who is a good candidate for Rejuran I?

Usually a good fit

  • Thin, crepey under-eye skin with fine lines
  • A tired look from thin skin rather than deep hollows
  • People who prefer to avoid filler under the eyes
  • Crow's feet texture alongside under-eye concerns

Talk to the doctor first

  • Fish or salmon allergy
  • Deep hollows or prominent under-eye bags
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Eye infection, recent eye surgery or blood thinners

What happens during a Rejuran I session?

  1. Consultation in English. A licensed doctor examines your under-eyes, checks the cause of your concern and confirms the volume and price.
  2. Numbing. Numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes. See Rejuran pain and numbing.
  3. Injections. The doctor places small amounts of product with a fine needle or cannula. This takes about 10–15 minutes.
  4. Cooling. A cold pack and soothing care reduce swelling before you leave.

Results, downtime and side effects

Mild swelling and small bumps under the eyes are common for one to two days. Small bruises can occur, as the area has many fine vessels, and may take a few more days to fade. Improvement in texture and fine lines builds gradually after each session. See the Rejuran Eye results timeline.

Rare risks include prolonged lumps, infection and allergic reaction. Avoid rubbing your eyes, saunas, alcohol and intense exercise for a day or two after treatment.

Frequently asked questions

How much is Rejuran I in Seoul?

At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong, Rejuran I costs ₩189,000 for 1cc for both under-eyes and ₩339,000 for 2cc including crow's feet, before 10% VAT.

Is Rejuran I the same as Rejuran Eye?

Yes. Rejuran I and Rejuran Eye are two names for the same finer polynucleotide formula designed for the eye area.

How many Rejuran I sessions do I need?

Most people plan two to three sessions two to four weeks apart, then maintenance as needed.

Does Rejuran I fill under-eye hollows?

No. It improves thin, crepey skin rather than adding volume. Deeper hollows may need a different treatment.

Is Rejuran I safer than under-eye filler?

Because it uses small amounts and does not add volume, its risk profile is generally considered lower than under-eye filler. Any injection around the eyes still carries risks such as bruising, bumps and, rarely, infection or vascular complications.

How long does swelling last after Rejuran I?

Mild swelling usually settles within one to two days. Bruises can take a few days longer.
