Forehead Botox Cost in Seoul: Units, Brands and Pricing — a guide for visitors in Myeongdong, Seoul.
Quick answer

In Seoul, forehead Botox is usually priced per area rather than per unit. At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong, one forehead area costs ₩39,000 with a Korean toxin, ₩79,000 with Xeomin and ₩99,000 with Allergan Botox (KRW, excluding 10% VAT). If you also treat frown lines and crow's feet, the three-area price is ₩99,000, ₩199,000 or ₩259,000. The doctor sets the dose to soften lines without making the brows heavy. Results appear in three to seven days and usually last three to four months.

Treatment type Botulinum toxin to the frontalis
Priced by Area and toxin brand
Forehead price From ₩39,000 (Korean toxin)
Session time 10–15 minutes
Downtime None
Results last About 3–4 months

Prices are in Korean won, exclude 10% VAT and are confirmed by a doctor at consultation.

How much does forehead Botox cost in Seoul?

Most Korean clinics, including Dernia Clinic Myeongdong, price forehead Botox as one treatment area. That means you pay a set price for the forehead regardless of the exact number of units, as long as it falls within a standard dose. The toxin brand you choose is what changes the price most.

Toxin Made in Forehead only Forehead + frown lines + crow's feet
Korean toxin (such as Botulax, Nabota or Coretox) Korea ₩39,000 ₩99,000
Xeomin Germany ₩79,000 ₩199,000
Botox (Allergan) USA ₩99,000 ₩259,000

Prices exclude 10% VAT and are confirmed at consultation. The tourist VAT refund on cosmetic procedures ended on January 1, 2026; see payment and tax. Full details are on the Botox price page.

Why is forehead Botox priced per area instead of per unit?

In many countries, Botox is priced per unit, so the total depends on exactly how much is injected. In Korea, per-area pricing is more common for wrinkle Botox. It makes quotes simpler to compare and means you are not encouraged to add units unnecessarily. The doctor still decides the dose, but you know the price in advance.

Per-area pricing also avoids a common confusion: units are not interchangeable between brands. A unit of one toxin is not identical in effect to a unit of another, so comparing unit counts across brands can be misleading. Comparing by area and brand is more meaningful.

How many units does forehead Botox use?

The forehead dose varies with the strength of your frontalis muscle, the height of your forehead, the position of your brows and how much movement you want to keep. Doctors generally use a conservative dose on the forehead, because the frontalis is the only muscle that lifts the brows. Over-treating it can make the brows feel heavy or droop.

That is why forehead Botox is often combined with frown line treatment. Relaxing the muscles that pull the brows down helps balance the effect, so the forehead looks smoother without a heavy feeling. Your doctor explains the plan before injecting. Read more in shots, lines and cc explained.

Korean vs imported Botox for the forehead

Korean toxins

Korean-made toxins such as Botulax, Nabota and Coretox are widely used in Korean clinics and make forehead Botox very affordable in Seoul. Many visitors choose them for a first treatment.

Xeomin

Xeomin from Germany is a purified toxin without complexing proteins. Some people prefer it, especially if they have had many toxin treatments over the years.

Allergan Botox

The original US brand. Visitors who have used it at home often choose it for continuity. It is the highest-priced option at Dernia.

With correct dosing by a licensed doctor, all of these approved products can give natural results. For background, read Korean Botox brands explained.

What else affects the total cost?

Beyond brand, a few practical points change what you pay for forehead Botox in Seoul:

  • Single area or combined. Treating the forehead with frown lines and crow's feet costs less per area than booking them separately.
  • VAT. Korean clinic prices are often listed before 10% VAT, which is added at payment.
  • Touch-ups. If the result is slightly uneven after two weeks, a small adjustment may be possible. Ask how touch-ups are handled before treatment, especially if you will have left Seoul by then.
  • Frequency. Because results last about three to four months, think about yearly cost as well as the price of one visit.

A very low headline price is not always the best value if it covers a lower dose or a product you did not choose. Ask which toxin is being used and whether the price covers a full standard dose for your forehead. A doctor-led consultation, where the plan and price are agreed before injection, is the best protection against surprises.

Is forehead Botox right for you?

Usually a good fit

  • Horizontal lines that appear when you raise your brows
  • Early static lines visible at rest
  • People who want a smoother forehead with natural movement
  • Visitors who want a quick treatment with no downtime

Talk to the doctor first

  • Low-set or heavy brows, or hooded upper eyelids
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Neuromuscular conditions such as myasthenia gravis
  • Deep, etched lines that may also need skin treatments

If lines are etched into the skin even at rest, Botox may soften but not erase them. Your doctor may suggest skin quality treatments alongside. See forehead wrinkle treatments and the forehead area page.

What happens during forehead Botox

  1. English consultation. The doctor asks you to raise your brows and frown, checks brow position and agrees the areas, brand and price.
  2. Cleansing and marking. The forehead is cleaned and injection points may be marked. Numbing is usually not needed.
  3. Injection. Small amounts of toxin are placed with a very fine needle across the forehead. The process takes a few minutes.
  4. Aftercare. You receive written aftercare in English and can return to your day straight away.

Forehead Botox results timeline

When What you may notice
Day 0 Small injection marks that fade within hours
Days 3–7 Movement starts to soften
About 2 weeks Full effect; a good time to judge results
3–4 months Movement gradually returns; time to plan maintenance

See the Botox results timeline for more detail.

Side effects and safety

Forehead Botox is low risk when performed by a trained doctor. Common effects include small bumps or redness at injection points, mild headache and occasional bruising. Less commonly, the brows may feel heavy, or the brow shape may look slightly uneven, which can sometimes be adjusted after two weeks. Rarely, toxin can affect the eyelid and cause temporary drooping. These effects wear off as the toxin does.

  • Do not rub or massage the forehead for the rest of the day.
  • Stay upright for about four hours after treatment.
  • Skip saunas, jjimjilbang and hard workouts for the rest of the day.

Flying home? You can usually fly soon after forehead Botox. It helps to have treatment a few days before departure so the doctor can review you at around one week if needed. Read flying after Botox and fillers.

Planning forehead Botox around your Seoul trip

  • Book early in your stay. Results take three to seven days to show and about two weeks to peak.
  • Avoid your arrival day. Book for day two or later, when you are rested.
  • Share your history. Tell us which brand and dose you have had before through our consultation form.
  • Getting here. Dernia is in Myeongdong, near Myeongdong Station (Line 4) and Euljiro 1-ga Station (Line 2).

Forehead Botox is quick enough to fit between sightseeing or shopping, which is one reason it is often part of a first visit to a Korean skin clinic.
