How much does a non-surgical facelift cost in Seoul?

There is no single price for a non-surgical facelift, because it is not one procedure. In Korea, the term usually describes a plan that lifts, tightens and restores the face without incisions. Your cost depends on which treatments your doctor recommends and how many areas are treated. At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong, a simple plan might start at a few hundred thousand won, while a comprehensive plan combining devices and threads can run into the millions. All prices below are in Korean won and exclude 10% VAT.

Treatment What it does Typical full-face plan Price (KRW)

What is a non-surgical facelift?

A non-surgical facelift aims to improve the signs a facelift addresses, such as jowls, a softening jawline, loose skin and volume loss, without cutting the skin. It cannot remove excess skin or reposition tissue as much as surgery can, so it suits mild to moderate changes best. Dernia does not offer surgical facelifts. If your doctor feels surgery would serve you better, they will tell you honestly.

Most plans combine treatments that work at different depths:

  • Ultrasound (HIFU) reaches the deeper SMAS layer for lift.
  • Radiofrequency heats the dermis to tighten skin and improve texture.
  • Thread lifts physically reposition sagging tissue.
  • Collagen stimulators and fillers restore lost volume, which often makes the face look lifted.

Energy-based lifting: costs and what you get

Ultrasound lifting

Ulthera Prime is the premium option, starting from ₩390,000 for 100 lines and ₩1,390,000 for a 400-line full face. Results build over two to three months and often last about a year. Shurink Universe is the budget option, from ₩149,000 for 300 shots, with results lasting about three to six months. See Ulthera Prime.

Radiofrequency tightening

Thermage FLX starts from ₩990,000 for 300 shots, with 600 shots at ₩1,690,000, and results commonly last 12–18 months. Korean RF devices Oligio X and Volnewmer both start from ₩390,000 for 300 shots, with results usually lasting six to twelve months.

Laser tightening

Titanium Lifting costs ₩450,000 for the full face, gives an immediate refresh and lasts about three to six months.

Thread lifts: cost and when they make sense

A PDO thread lift uses dissolvable threads placed under the skin to reposition sagging tissue and stimulate collagen as they dissolve. At Dernia it costs ₩690,000 for one area, ₩1,190,000 for two areas and ₩1,690,000 for the full lower face. Results commonly last 12–18 months.

Threads give a more mechanical lift than energy devices, which suits jowls and mid-face descent. The trade-off is downtime: expect three to seven days of swelling or bruising, and sometimes temporary dimpling or tightness. Less common risks include thread visibility, infection or asymmetry. See the thread lift treatment page and thread lift vs Ulthera Prime.

Volume restoration: the hidden part of a lift

As we age, the face loses volume in the temples, cheeks and under the eyes. Restoring support in these areas can make the lower face look lifted. Options at Dernia include hyaluronic acid filler from ₩150,000 per cc for Korean HA, Sculptra from ₩590,000 per vial and Lenisna from ₩490,000 per vial. Collagen stimulators work gradually over months, while filler gives an immediate change. See volume loss treatments.

Sample non-surgical facelift plans in Seoul

These are examples to show how costs add up, not fixed packages. Your doctor will recommend a plan after examining you.

Goal Example combination Component prices before VAT (KRW)
Light refresh, no downtime Shurink Universe 600 shots + Titanium Lifting full face ₩259,000 + ₩450,000
Lift and tighten Ulthera Prime 400 lines + Oligio X 600 shots ₩1,390,000 + ₩690,000
Premium combination Ulthera Prime 400 lines + Thermage FLX 600 shots ₩1,390,000 + ₩1,690,000
Structural lift Thread lift, full lower face + Shurink Universe 600 shots ₩1,690,000 + ₩259,000

Prices are listed per treatment and exclude 10% VAT. Final plans and prices are confirmed by a doctor at consultation.

Not every combination is right for every face. A younger patient with mild laxity may need only one device. Someone with more noticeable jowls may benefit from threads plus an energy device, while someone whose main issue is hollowing may get more from volume restoration than from any lifting device. The doctor's job is to match the plan to the cause, not to sell the largest package.

The Seoul Signature Lifting package and our guide to combining Thermage and Ulthera explain combination plans in more detail.

How long do the results of each part last?

Because each treatment lasts a different length of time, a non-surgical facelift is best thought of as an ongoing plan. Shurink and Titanium usually last three to six months, Korean RF devices six to twelve months, Ulthera about a year or longer, and Thermage FLX and thread lifts commonly 12–18 months. Many visitors build a yearly routine around one longer-lasting treatment, with lighter top-ups if they return to Seoul during the year.

Who is a good candidate for a non-surgical facelift?

Usually a good fit

  • Mild to moderate jowls and a softening jawline
  • Early loss of firmness and crepey skin
  • People who want little or no downtime
  • Visitors who prefer gradual, natural-looking change

Talk to the doctor first

  • Heavy sagging or a lot of excess skin
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Pacemakers or implanted electronic devices (for RF)
  • Bleeding disorders or blood thinners (for threads and injectables)

Safety: what to know before you book

Non-surgical does not mean risk-free. Energy devices can cause redness, swelling and tenderness, and rarely burns, nerve irritation or contour changes. Thread lifts carry risks of bruising, dimpling, visible threads and infection. Injectables can cause bruising and, rarely, vascular complications. These risks are reduced when a licensed doctor assesses you, chooses the right treatments and performs or supervises them. Read side effects and when to contact us.

Planning a non-surgical facelift around your Seoul trip

  • Book ahead. Share your goals and dates through our consultation form so the doctor can suggest a realistic plan.
  • Sequence carefully. Energy devices are often done early in a trip; threads need several days for swelling to settle before you fly.
  • Avoid your arrival day. Book from day two.
  • Getting here. Dernia is in Myeongdong, near Myeongdong Station (Line 4) and Euljiro 1-ga Station (Line 2).
  • VAT. The tourist VAT refund on cosmetic procedures ended on January 1, 2026. See our VAT guide.

Flying home? Energy-based lifting rarely affects flying. After threads or injectables, allow a few days for swelling and bruising to settle before a long flight. Our aftercare guide explains each treatment.
