Under-Eye Filler Cost in Seoul: Pricing and Safety Considerations — Myeongdong, Seoul
Under-Eye Filler Cost in Seoul: Pricing and Safety Considerations — a guide for visitors in Myeongdong, Seoul.
Quick answer

Under-eye (tear trough) filler in Seoul is priced per 1cc syringe, which usually treats both eyes. At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong, soft Korean HA costs ₩290,000, Restylane ₩390,000 and Juvéderm Volbella ₩450,000 (KRW, excluding 10% VAT). Results typically last about 9–12 months, with possible swelling or bruising for 2–5 days. The under-eye is a high-risk area: serious complications such as vascular occlusion are rare but can affect vision, so a doctor must first confirm that filler is the right choice for you.

Treatment type Soft hyaluronic acid filler
Typical volume 0.5–1cc for both eyes
Price ₩290,000–₩450,000 per 1cc
Treatment time 20–30 minutes plus numbing
Downtime Possible swelling or bruising, 2–5 days
Results last About 9–12 months

Prices are in Korean won, exclude 10% VAT and are confirmed by a doctor at consultation.

What is under-eye filler?

Under-eye filler, often called tear trough filler, places a small amount of soft hyaluronic acid (HA) gel to soften hollows under the eyes and the shadow they cast. When it works well, it can make you look less tired. But the skin here is thin, the anatomy is complex and swelling is common, so product choice, volume and technique matter more than anywhere else on the face. How much does under-eye filler cost in Seoul (2026)?

Option Details Price (KRW)
Korean soft HA, 1cc Soft, low-swelling gel, both eyes ₩290,000
Restylane, 1cc Imported HA filler (Galderma), both eyes ₩390,000
Juvéderm Volbella, 1cc Imported fine-texture HA (Allergan), both eyes ₩450,000

Prices exclude 10% VAT and are confirmed at consultation. The tourist VAT refund on cosmetic procedures ended on January 1, 2026; see payment and tax. Full details are on the under-eye filler price page.

Under-eye filler costs more per cc than standard facial filler because it uses softer, specialized gels and demands more time and precision. Most people need only 0.5–1cc in total for both eyes, so one syringe is usually enough. More is rarely better here: overfilling can cause puffiness and a bluish tint.

Korean soft HA vs Restylane vs Juvéderm Volbella

All three options are hyaluronic acid fillers chosen for their suitability in thin skin. Korean soft HA is designed to be low-swelling and keeps the cost lower. Restylane and Juvéderm Volbella are imported products with fine textures that many doctors use in delicate areas, and some visitors prefer them because they know them from home. The doctor recommends a product based on your skin thickness, the depth of the hollow and your tendency to swell, not on price alone. Read hyaluronic acid filler brands for background.

Why the cheapest under-eye filler is rarely the best value

Under-eye filler is not a treatment to choose on price. A lower quote may mean a different product, a less experienced injector or no follow-up plan. Because complications in this area can be serious and need fast treatment, the real value lies in a careful assessment, a conservative volume and a clinic that can see you again quickly if anything feels wrong. When you compare quotes in Seoul, compare the product, the volume, who injects and what aftercare is included.

Is under-eye filler right for you?

Not every dark circle or eye bag improves with filler. The doctor first works out what is causing your under-eye concern.

Usually a good fit

  • A visible hollow or groove under the eye
  • Shadowing caused by volume loss rather than pigment
  • Good skin quality and minimal puffiness
  • People who accept a subtle, gradual approach

Talk to the doctor first

  • Puffy eye bags or fluid retention, which filler can worsen
  • Dark circles mainly from pigment or visible vessels
  • Very thin, crepey skin under the eyes
  • Previous filler in the area, or pregnancy or breastfeeding

If your concern is pigment or thin skin rather than hollowing, a different treatment may suit you better. Rejuran Eye starts from ₩189,000 for 1cc at Dernia and focuses on skin quality rather than volume. Under-eye filler safety: the risks you must know

Under-eye filler is considered a high-risk filler area. Most treatments go smoothly, but you should understand the serious risks before you book.

  • Vascular occlusion. Filler can block a blood vessel. This is rare, but around the eyes it can lead to skin damage and, in very rare cases, permanent vision loss or blindness. This is the most important risk to understand.
  • Swelling and puffiness. The under-eye area holds fluid easily. Some people develop prolonged puffiness, especially with too much product.
  • Tyndall effect. Filler placed too superficially can show as a bluish tint under thin skin.
  • Lumps or irregularity. Small bumps can form if filler is uneven.
  • Bruising. Common, and may last several days.

Seek urgent medical help if you notice severe pain, skin turning pale or dusky, blurred or lost vision, or any change in your eyesight after filler. At Dernia, under-eye filler is performed only by licensed doctors, often with a blunt cannula to reduce risk, and hyaluronidase, the enzyme that dissolves HA filler, is kept on hand at all times. Questions to ask before booking under-eye filler anywhere in Korea

  • Who will inject? It should be a licensed doctor with experience in the under-eye area.
  • Needle or cannula? Ask which technique is used and why.
  • Which product, and how much? A soft gel and a small total volume are typical.
  • Is hyaluronidase available? The clinic should be able to dissolve filler immediately if needed.
  • What happens if there is a problem after I fly home? You should have a clear contact plan in English.

More questions are in consultation questions to ask.

What happens on treatment day

  1. English consultation. The doctor examines your under-eyes in different lighting, decides whether filler is appropriate and agrees the product, volume and price with you.
  2. Numbing. Numbing cream is applied for about 20–30 minutes.
  3. Injection. The doctor places small amounts of soft filler deep, often with a cannula, checking symmetry and avoiding overfilling.
  4. Review and aftercare. A cold compress may be applied. You receive written aftercare and a contact plan in English.

Recovery and aftercare

  • Use a cool compress gently for the first day if advised.
  • Sleep with your head slightly raised for the first night or two.
  • Avoid alcohol, saunas, jjimjilbang and intense exercise for 48 hours.
  • Do not press or massage the area unless the doctor tells you to.

Flying home? Swelling can increase on long flights. We recommend leaving at least several days between under-eye filler and a long-haul flight, so the doctor can review you and any early concerns can be managed in Seoul. Our aftercare guide has more detail.

Planning under-eye filler around your Seoul trip

  • Treat early, not on your last day. Book in the first half of your stay so you can return for a check.
  • Avoid your arrival day. Rested, non-puffy eyes make assessment more accurate.
  • Book ahead. Send your dates and any previous filler history through our consultation form.
  • Getting here. Dernia is in Myeongdong, near Myeongdong Station (Line 4) and Euljiro 1-ga Station (Line 2).
