How Oligio X works

Oligio X, from Wontech, sends monopolar RF through the skin into the dermis, heating a broad volume of tissue rather than individual points. Existing collagen contracts with the heat and the skin is prompted to build new collagen over the following weeks. A cooling system protects the outer layer so the deeper skin can be heated effectively. Oligio X can be used across the face and, with a suitable tip, around the eyes, which is why it features in our Eye Rejuvenation Package.

How Volnewmer works

Volnewmer, from Classys, also uses monopolar RF for even, deep heating of the dermis. Its signature feature is a water-cooled tip that keeps the skin surface cool during each pulse, a design intended to make deep heating more comfortable. Classys also makes Shurink Universe, and in Korea the two are often booked together: HIFU for the deeper support layer, Volnewmer for the skin.

Can you combine them?

There is no benefit in using both on the same area on the same day, because they do the same job. You can alternate them between visits, or use Oligio X around the eyes and Volnewmer along the jaw and neck in one session if your doctor feels that suits your anatomy. Both pair well with ultrasound lifting for deeper support, and with skin boosters or Botox on the same day. Leave several months between RF sessions on the same area.

Eye-area crepiness usually points to Oligio X; a jawline and neck plan paired with HIFU often points to Volnewmer. When either would work well, your comfort and preference decide. If your laxity is more than mild, your doctor may suggest Thermage FLX or adding ultrasound lifting, because no RF device can fully replace lifting of the deeper support tissue.

Which is more comfortable, Oligio X or Volnewmer?

Results from either device commonly last about 6–12 months. Collagen keeps building for two to three months after treatment, so the result often looks best a little after your session.

Are these the same as Thermage?
