What is Oligio X?

Oligio X is a skin-tightening device from Wontech, a Korean energy-device company. It uses monopolar radiofrequency, the same principle as Thermage, to heat the deeper skin layers. The heat tightens existing collagen and prompts new collagen and elastin over the following weeks.

How Oligio X works

Each pulse sends RF current through a single-use tip into the dermis, which resists the current and warms up. The tip cools the surface at the same time, protecting the outer skin.

Immediate effect: collagen fibers contract, so skin can feel firmer the same day.
Remodeling: new collagen forms over one to three months, which is where most of the result comes from.
Texture: many people also notice smoother skin and less visible pores as the dermis thickens.

Energy is adjustable, so thin areas such as the eyelids are treated more gently than the jaw and cheeks.

Downtime and aftercare

Expect mild pinkness for a few hours at most. You can usually wear makeup the same day and carry on with your plans. For the first 24 hours, avoid saunas, very hot baths and intense exercise, keep the skin hydrated and use sunscreen. Rare effects such as swelling or small blisters are managed by the medical team.

Some firming is visible straight away, but the real change develops as new collagen forms. Oligio X is not suitable if you have a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device, are pregnant, or have an active skin infection or open wound in the area. Tell your doctor about metal implants in the face, recent filler or threads, recent isotretinoin, a history of keloids, or any skin condition being treated.
