Combining Treatments in One Visit: What Works Together

Quick answer: Many treatments can be combined in one visit if they are done in the right order: energy devices such as lasers, HIFU and RF first, then injectables such as Botox, fillers and skin boosters, then a soothing step. Some pairs, such as filler and lifting on the same area, may be spaced. At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong, combination packages start from ₩149,000 (KRW, excluding VAT).

Why combine treatments?

Different treatments work on different layers: lifting devices on the deep support structure and dermis, boosters on skin quality, toning on pigment and Botox on muscle movement. Combining them can give a more complete, natural result than pushing one treatment harder. On a trip to Seoul, it also saves time. The key is order, dose and knowing which pairs are better kept apart.

The usual order on the day

  1. Cleanse and numb: one round of numbing cream covers several treatments.
  2. Energy devices first: lasers, HIFU and RF work best on untreated tissue, before anything is injected.
  3. Injectables next: Botox, fillers and skin boosters go in after heat-based treatments, so product is not exposed to heat or pressure straight away.
  4. Soothing last: LDM or a calming mask settles redness before you leave.

Your doctor may adjust this for your plan, but this sequence is the general rule in most Korean clinics.

Combinations that work well

Combination Why it works Typical downtime
Ulthera Prime and Thermage FLX Deep lift plus skin tightening Minimal
HIFU or RF lifting and Botox Lift plus softer expression lines None to minimal
Pico toning and Rejuran Healer Even tone plus repair Small bumps for 1–3 days
Rejuran Healer, Skin Botox and LDM Glow, finer pores and calm skin Small bumps for 1–3 days
Botox and dermal filler Movement lines plus lost volume Filler swelling for 1–3 days
Jaw Botox, Shurink Universe and fat-dissolving injection Slimmer, more defined lower face Swelling for 2–5 days from fat-dissolving
Juvelook and Potenza Collagen rebuilding for texture and scars 2–4 days of redness

Combinations that need spacing or care

  • Fresh filler and energy devices on the same area: lifting is usually done first on the day, or filler on a separate visit.
  • Two resurfacing treatments: CO2 laser and strong peels or aggressive microneedling are not stacked on the same day.
  • A new thread lift and intense heat over the threads: usually spaced by several weeks.
  • Many injectables in one small area: may be spread out to limit swelling and bruising.
  • Facial massage after filler or Botox: avoid for about two weeks after filler and on the day of Botox.

How long a combined visit takes

Plan Typical time at the clinic
Two quick treatments, such as toning and Botox About 1–1.5 hours
Booster plus one or two add-ons About 1.5–2 hours
Lifting plus injectables About 2–3 hours

Does downtime add up?

Usually the longest single downtime sets the pace. A combination of lifting, Botox and a booster typically looks like the booster alone: small bumps for a day or two. Swelling can be slightly more noticeable when several injectables are combined, so plan important events and flights with a little margin. See flying after Botox and fillers.

Spreading a plan across your trip

You do not have to do everything on one day. On a week-long trip, a common pattern is lifting and Botox on day one, a skin booster on day two or three, toning later in the week and a gentle glow treatment before you fly. That keeps each appointment comfortable and gives your doctor a chance to check your skin between visits. See no-downtime treatments in Seoul.

Questions to ask before combining

  • If I could do only one of these, which matters most for my goal?
  • What order will you use, and why?
  • Will combining change my downtime or the total dose of any product?
  • Which parts could wait until my next visit?

More ideas are in questions to ask at your consultation.

Safety first

Your doctor reviews the total dose of each product, your skin's tolerance and your medical history before combining treatments. Pregnancy, active infection, recent isotretinoin and implanted electronic devices can rule out some combinations. When you are ready, book a consultation and your doctor will design a combination around your goals and your flight.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers from our medical team. Still unsure? Ask a doctor or browse all patient questions .

Can I get Botox and filler on the same day?

Yes, this is a common combination. Botox softens movement lines and filler restores volume, and both can be done in one appointment. Plan your flight around the filler timeline.

Should lasers be done before or after injectables?

Usually before. Energy devices such as lasers, HIFU and RF are done first, then injectables, so the product is not exposed to heat straight after placement.

Is it safe to combine several treatments in one visit?

Often, yes, when a doctor plans the order and doses. Your doctor checks your medical history and skin tolerance and will space treatments that should not be stacked.

Will combining treatments increase downtime?

Usually the longest single downtime sets the pace, though swelling can be slightly more noticeable when several injectables are combined.

How many treatments can I combine at once?

Many visits combine two to four treatments. Your doctor balances results, comfort and recovery time, especially if you are flying soon.
