Wrinkles & Volume

Fine Line Treatment in Seoul

Quick answer: Fine lines are softened by treating their cause: expression, dehydration, thin skin or early collagen loss. At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong, wrinkle Botox starts from ₩39,000 per area for expression lines, HA skin boosters from ₩99,000 for dehydration lines, and Rejuran, Juvelook, RF tightening or fractional laser rebuild collagen for lines that stay at rest. Most plans combine two approaches.

What causes fine lines?

Fine lines are the first shallow creases that appear before deeper wrinkles. They form where skin folds with expression, around the eyes, forehead and mouth, and where skin is dehydrated or thinning. Collagen production slows from your late 20s, and sun damage, smoking, poor sleep and dry air speed this up. Thin skin around the eyes and repeated squinting make that area show lines first.

How fine lines are assessed

At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong, your doctor separates expression lines that appear with movement, dehydration lines that look like fine crisscrosses, and static lines from collagen loss. Each needs a different tool. Deeper lines are covered under forehead wrinkles and crow's feet.

Treatment options for fine lines

Wrinkle Botox

Wrinkle Botox relaxes the muscles behind expression lines. It is the first choice for lines that appear when you move.

Skin Botox

Skin Botox places diluted toxin superficially to smooth crepey texture and reduce oil while keeping natural movement.

Hyaluronic Acid Skin Booster

An HA skin booster hydrates from within, softening dehydration lines quickly and affordably.

Skinvive

Skinvive by Juvéderm adds microdroplet hydration for smoother cheeks that lasts about six months.

Profhilo

Profhilo spreads high-concentration HA through the skin, suiting fine lines with early laxity.

Chanel Injection

The Chanel injection combines HA with vitamins and amino acids for fine lines with dullness.

Rejuran Healer

Rejuran Healer is a PN booster that repairs and thickens thin or sensitive skin with fine lines.

Rejuran Eye

Rejuran Eye is a finer PN formula for crepey lines around the eyes.

Juvelook

Juvelook combines PDLLA and HA to rebuild collagen gradually, chosen for static lines and texture.

Thermage FLX

Thermage FLX tightens skin with monopolar RF, softening lines that come with early laxity, including on the eyelids.

Oligio X

Oligio X is Korean monopolar RF for similar tightening at a lower cost.

Volnewmer

Volnewmer is Korean RF with a water-cooled tip, suited to heat-sensitive skin.

Pico Fractional

Pico fractional stimulates collagen in tiny zones with 1–3 days of redness.

CO2 Fractional Laser

The CO2 fractional laser resurfaces deeper, etched lines when you can allow 5–7 days of downtime.

Combination plans

Most plans pair Botox for movement with a booster for skin quality. Our Prevention Package for Your 30s combines skin Botox, Oligio X and an HA booster. Collagen treatments such as Juvelook or Rejuran can follow once movement lines are controlled. See skin boosters explained.

At-home care and prevention

Daily SPF, a retinoid at night if tolerated, a hydrating moisturizer and good sleep slow new lines.

Planning treatment during a trip to Seoul

Botox, RF and most boosters have little downtime. Boosters can leave small bumps for a day or two, so avoid booking them right before photos. Book CO2 laser early in your stay. Book a consultation to plan.

Safety and when to see a doctor

Toxins and injectables are avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding, RF is not used with a pacemaker, and lasers are postponed on isotretinoin. Tell your doctor about recent fillers, threads or skin conditions. Sudden facial weakness needs urgent care.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers from our medical team. Still unsure? Ask a doctor or browse all patient questions .

At what age do fine lines appear?

Many people notice them from their late 20s or early 30s, first around the eyes and forehead. Sun exposure, genetics and lifestyle make a big difference.

Should I choose Botox or a skin booster for fine lines?

Botox suits lines that appear with movement, while boosters suit dehydration lines and thin skin. Many people use both. See skin Botox vs HA skin booster.

Can fine lines be prevented?

You can slow them with daily sunscreen, a retinoid, good hydration and not smoking. Low-dose Botox and boosters in your 30s can also help stop lines from becoming etched.

How long do fine line treatments last?

Botox lasts about 3–4 months, HA boosters about 1–3 months, Skinvive about six months, and collagen-building treatments longer once a series is complete.

Which fine line treatment has the least downtime?

Botox, skin Botox and RF tightening usually have none. Boosters may leave small bumps for a day or two, and fractional lasers need a few days.
