FAQ

How long should I stay in Seoul for treatment?

Quick answer: For most non-surgical skin treatments, 3–7 days in Seoul is enough. That allows a consultation, treatment early in your stay and time for swelling or redness to settle before you fly. If you want Botox reviewed at its full effect, plan about 10–14 days; resurfacing lasers like CO2 need about a week. Dernia Clinic Myeongdong doctors plan treatments around your exact dates.

  • Most non-surgical treatments: 3–7 days
  • Botox or filler with a review: About 10–14 days
  • Lifting (Thermage FLX, Ulthera): Can fit in 1–3 days
  • CO2 fractional laser: About 7 days or more
  • Thread lift: About 5–7 days for swelling and bruising
  • Best first appointment: Day 1 or 2 of your trip

The detailed answer

How long you need depends on downtime and whether you want a follow-up before you fly. Non-surgical treatments in Seoul range from no-downtime lifting to resurfacing lasers that need a week to heal. Arriving, having your consultation and treatment on the first or second day, and leaving a buffer before your flight works for most plans.

Treatment Downtime Suggested minimum stay
Thermage FLX or Ulthera Prime None to minimal 1–3 days
Botox None 3–5 days; 10–14 days for a review
Skin boosters such as Rejuran Healer Small bumps for 1–3 days 3–5 days
Dermal or lip filler Swelling for 1–4 days 4–7 days
CO2 fractional laser 5–7 days of redness and crusting 7 days or more
Thread lift 3–7 days of swelling or bruising 5–7 days

These are general planning estimates. Your doctor will confirm what applies to you.

Building a schedule

  • Day 1–2: consultation, then the treatments with the most downtime.
  • Middle of the trip: sightseeing, plus any second sessions or check-ups.
  • Last day: only no-downtime treatments, such as a soothing facial.

If you are combining several treatments, the longest recovery time sets the minimum length of your stay. Leave at least one free day between treatments with downtime and any event or photos, and allow an extra day as a buffer in case your flight or schedule changes. Entry and travel checks

Before booking flights, check entry requirements for your nationality. Many visitors are exempt from K-ETA through December 31, 2026, but rules vary, so confirm on the official K-ETA website and submit the free e-Arrival Card online within 72 hours before arrival if it applies to you. Our K-ETA and e-Arrival Card guide has the full checklist.

What we recommend

Book your consultation for the start of your stay and share your flight dates. If you cannot stay long enough for a full series, see what to do if you cannot finish a series. Then book a consultation and your doctor will build a plan around your trip.
