Profhilo Results: Timeline and What to Expect

Quick answer: Profhilo is a high-concentration hyaluronic acid injected at five points per side of the face. Small bumps settle within about 24 hours, skin looks more hydrated within 1–2 weeks, and firmness improves after the second session four weeks later. At Dernia Clinic Myeongdong, Profhilo results typically last about six months after the initial two sessions.

Profhilo results timeline

Profhilo, made by IBSA, is a highly concentrated hyaluronic acid that combines high and low molecular weight HA in a thermally stabilized form. It is injected at a small number of set points on each side of the face and spreads through the skin by itself. Rather than adding shape, it hydrates and supports the skin, which becomes firmer and more elastic over a two-session course.

When What you may notice What is happening
Day 0 Five small raised bumps per side HA is placed at set points
Day 1 Bumps have usually flattened The product spreads evenly through the tissue
Weeks 1–2 Hydrated, dewy skin HA holds water in the skin
Week 4 Second session Builds on the first
Weeks 6–8 Firmer, bouncier skin and softer fine lines The skin's supporting structure is improved
Month 6 Gradual fade Time for a maintenance session

What improves and what doesn't

Usually improves

Usually does not change

  • Marked volume loss or deep folds
  • Moderate to advanced sagging
  • Acne scars and pigmentation
  • Expression lines from muscle movement

Factors that influence your results

  • Completing both sessions: the second session is what turns hydration into firmer, more elastic skin.
  • Starting skin quality: thin, dry or crepey skin usually shows the clearest change.
  • Age: results are visible across ages, but mature skin may benefit from adding collagen-stimulating or lifting treatments.
  • Area: the neck and hands often need their own dose and schedule.
  • Lifestyle: sun exposure, smoking and dehydration shorten results.

How to maximize and maintain your results

Profhilo pairs well with treatments that work on other layers. If repair and texture matter, compare it with PN in Rejuran Healer vs Profhilo. If you mainly want glow, see Skinvive vs Profhilo. If loose skin is also a concern, many people pair a Profhilo course with radiofrequency or ultrasound lifting, usually scheduled on a separate day so each layer is treated cleanly and swelling from one does not mask the other.

  • Avoid makeup for about 12 hours and saunas or intense exercise for a day.
  • Don't massage the injection points.
  • Use a hydrating moisturizer and daily sunscreen.
  • Keep both sessions on schedule.

Realistic expectations and when to repeat

Profhilo gives better-quality skin, not a new shape. Most people see the clearest change a few weeks after the second session, and results typically last about six months. After that, one session every six months or so maintains them. Because the course needs two visits about four weeks apart, plan ahead; if you can't return in time, read what if you can't finish a treatment series. Tracking your progress

Hydration and firmness are subtle, so take photos before your first session, before your second, and about a month after the second.

  • Use the same window light and time of day, without flash.
  • Photograph bare skin with a neutral expression.
  • For the neck, keep your chin level and shoulders relaxed.
  • Take a slight smile photo to show fine lines around the eyes and mouth.

If your results aren't what you expected

Judge the result about a month after the second session. If you still see little change, contact Dernia and share your photos so your doctor can review them. They may suggest a different booster or a combination plan better suited to your skin. Explore other options in our results guides.
